About Client

A mid-sized buy-side firm and an existing client of ValueAdd requested for a social media support. The firm offers institutional investment management services and looks for opportunities across all sectors, cap sizes and asset classes. The firm also offers services such as portfolio management, customized investment strategies, retirement planning, IRA’s and 401k’s, Life insurance reviews and Employer Pension and Stock Option Analysis.

In addition to their own fixed income fund, they also were looking to launch a research platform for the investors, RIAs and other potential customers, interested in investment research on a subscription basis.

Investment process takes a 360-degree view of the entire capital structure to create the ideal investment exposure. The firm has strong expertise and proven track record in combining fundamental research with technical and quantitative analysis to identify assets poised for long-term wealth creation irrespective of market conditions and follows a highly selective approach on the companies they chose to invest in.

Business Problem

Client had creative and experienced social media experts, however, didn’t have a sufficient bandwidth to create a good quality content in a timely manner.

The objective was to generate creative content using their investment research reports/ outputs across fixed income and equity.

They wanted to a) attract more subscribers for their research platform, b) gain more followers on each of their social media platforms, c) increase traffic on their corporate website and blog articles, and d) help generate more inbound business

The Scope of work

The Client wanted a dedicated support to create content for their social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, their website, and Instagram.

Also, update their research platform with latest reports, videos, presentations, blogs, and prices of securities and options. All these research pieces needed to be uploaded on their research platform for subscriber-only view.

The objective was to optimize their research by active and timely dissemination of their research through social media, to create a brand visibility and recall.

The Solution

  • Devised a plan for each of the social media platform ValueAdd was responsible for
    • Twitter: Provide at least 4-5 tweets per day on subjects like material news, corporate actions, credit events, earnings announcements, new research report announcement
    • LinkedIn/Facebook: new research report announcement, new blog release, LinkedIn Pulse, etc
    • YouTube: Videos related to new research publication, good investment ideas, thematic research
  • Upload detailed, insightful, and actionable initiating coverage reports (ICRs) on strong research ideas across equity and fixed income, on its research platform for its subscribers.
  • ValueAdd team closely coordinated with the client’s marketing and research teams to ensure creative, intelligent and continuous content update on each social media platform.
